Glass Workbench, Inc. Established in 1975 next to the Missouri River in Historic St. Charles, MO.

The Glass Workbench is a family business started by Glen and Joanne Bishop in 1975. Their daughter, Julie, teaches classes and creates custom glass pieces along with long-time employee, David Hibbeler. Another daughter, Jean, now manages the business which includes the retail store, a gift store, and a publishing business. Located on South Main Street in Historic St. Charles, our building is in the National Register of Historic Places and was built by slaves in about the year 1815.
